2 SIMPLE AND ABSORBING FILMS

There are a number of absorbing films about fishing with lures.

WALKING THE DOG MOVEMENT

This is the most widespread movement for fishing with surface lures such as stickbaits or poppers. The Wizdom or the Murray lure are perfectly suited for the walking the dog movement. This movement mimics a small weakened and injured fish swimming on the surface. This particular swimming style of the lure is very effective for the predators who see an easy prey.

To achieve this movement, hold the tip of the rod downwards then perform a series of small, sudden and regular pulls while reeling steadily.  The lure will then swim in a zigzag fashion on the surface. Start by practising slowly to find your movement rhythm.

Stop for a few seconds after every 4-5 pulls before starting again. It is usually at this point that the fish decides to attack.

STOP 'N' GO MOVEMENT

It is a simple but very effective movement when fish are being difficult. You can use the stop'n'go movement with all types of crankbait.

As its name suggests, this movement is about making the lure move with a succession of sudden starts and stops. Breaks should be well marked.
